Chelsea Ditter

Executive Director in Plymouth

Chelsea Ditter’s journey in early childhood education began unexpectedly when she took a part-time aide position and quickly fell in love with the work. What started as a temporary job became a true calling as she steadily worked her way up—serving as an aide, assistant teacher, lead teacher, kitchen staff, bus driver, Assistant Director, and now Executive Director. Chelsea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood in 2015 and continues to grow as a leader, always seeking new books, training, and opportunities to strengthen her skills.

At Bright Beginnings Academy, Chelsea fosters a school culture where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore through play, nature, curiosity, and wonder. She builds strong relationships with families through open communication, active listening, and flexibility, creating a warm “family vibe” that is welcoming to all. Chelsea loves the joy and laughter that fill the building each day—whether it’s with her staff, children, or families—and she takes pride in shaping a positive, professional, and community-focused environment.

Chelsea is passionate about her work because she knows that the tone she sets directly influences the happiness and success of the entire school. She especially values collaboration, believing that working together creates a sense of support and unity. Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys relaxing weekends, spending time with her best friend, and a wide variety of hobbies including pottery, golf, bingo, meat raffles, and county fairs. Her favorite classroom activity is art, and one of her proudest professional moments was successfully earning a perfect score on a licensing visit—proof of her dedication, resilience, and high standards.
