Kelsey Schiroo

Executive Director in Burnsville

Kelsey Schiroo has always loved working with children and finds joy in watching them get excited about the little everyday things. She began her career as a PreK teacher in the Farmington School District before teaching elementary students for six years. Kelsey then joined Little Newtons, bringing her experience and passion for early childhood education to leadership. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (2019), a Master’s in Education (2023), and a Minnesota Tier 4 Teaching License in Elementary Education.

At Bright Beginnings Academy, Kelsey is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children learn through play and exploration. She believes in building strong connections with families through regular communication, newsletters, and daily check-ins. Kelsey leads a team of caring teachers, fostering a family-like atmosphere in which children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore their imagination.

Kelsey’s favorite moments of the day are hands-on activities like art, science, and sensory play, where children can truly have fun while learning. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Aussies, Finn and Luna, as well as crocheting and reading. Her top priority is ensuring every child feels safe, loved, and supported, and that families feel confident in the care and education their children receive.
